Race the entire series, or enter individual races, including the Halloween Regatta, as stand alone events.

Cruising class will be self-selecting, by skipper, and boats will be considered ‘Cruising Class’ by virtue of the ICRC Cruising Definitions (listed as part of the NOR).
Boat of the the Year award Scoring (BOTY) WILL ONLY APPLY to spinnaker and non-spinnaker classes. (The Winter Series, as always, will count as a double score for BOTY).
Post-race socials will be held at the homes of NYRA members; a not-unlimited supply of your favorite adult beverages will be provided compliments of your favorite sailing association and organizing authority. The Socials will go on, even if racing is canceled per the dreaded Winter Rules! Additional detailed directions to each Social will be sent along with reminders before each Day of racing.
(Racing shall be canceled on any day the real feel temperature is forecast to be at or below 35 degrees. The determination will be made based on the noon forecast on www.accuweather.com the day before the race and will be posted on the NYRA website. Racing shall also be canceled when the wind speed is above 25 knots sustained before the start of a race).
